Last year, DJ Idea Sharing founder Mike Fernino started a new Facebook group called “Find Your Wedding DJ”. The group was created specifically for Wedding couples to meet DJs in a shared forum of supply and demand. It was created to help change the on-line experience where a bride would get 250 responses from DJs when asking for entertainment options on a typical wedding group page.
Find Your Wedding DJ on Facebook has been a huge success thus far growing to almost 4 thousand wedding couples and DJs in just the first 9 months of existence. And that brings us to the “Next Step” in the evolutionary process and that is a website!
Find Your Wedding DJ will be bringing to life a new website that is focused on a DJ registry based on state or province. Open to DJs in the United States and Canada! A bride or groom can simply search for a wedding professional DJ by selecting the state or province of their wedding event. The listing of DJs participating will all be in a simple format. (Name, Business, Phone and Website). Keeping the process extremely simple and quickly distributing the wedding couple to the website of their potential DJ.

The fee for a 1 year listing is just $50 as Mike’s main concern was getting legitimate leads to the DJs, and not making a killing on a relatively un-proven website. But given the success of the facebook group and Mike’s plan for organic marketing this should be a huge success for ALL of the DJs involved.
In addition to the DJ registry the website will also have a link direct to the Find Your Wedding DJ Facebook group. On top of that there will be episodes of Mike’s popular wedding podcast called “ The Wedding Of Distinction “ and a blog where DJs from the group can all submit articles to help wedding couples in the wedding planning process. The goal will be to make the website a favorite place to return to for many wedding couples because of the quality and usefulness of its content.
