There can be no doubt that Chauvet DJ listens to their customers. At the most recent Lighting Symposium Allen Reiss from Chauvet DJ held a impromptu focus group to ask the attendees of the show what they were looking for in NEW lighting products. At one point I blurted out an idea I had and wanted to share. It may not have fully resonated with Allen as he asked me to clarify later that evening. I grabbed a D&D napkin and sketched out my brain child, which was a evolution from the Chauvet GigBar. This unit would be far more attractive to those looking for the convenience of a GigBar with the presentation of a fully connected truss system and upgraded high end lighting fixtures. It was a concept that turned into a full sketch on paper the next day an a agreement to talk after the Lighting Symposium.
About a month later after several conference calls with Allen a computer draft was designed and sent to me. It was then that I knew the GigBar Bridge was born! Basically you get 4 high quality LED color wash lens per unit with adjustable tilt and pan along with 2 powerful moving heads. The cross bar is designed to connect together at the ends so that means you can put together 3 or 4 systems for the full effect.
